Post SeasOOOONNNNN
man, i completely flunked on making any sort of playoff predictions on here. but i can say that i wouldn't have been right. obviously, i was figuring that it would be the Cavs and the Lakers in the Finals. and i really didn't even know that the Magic were that good of a team. but watching LeBron James throughout the playoffs i figured that no one could stop him at all. but then i realized that it's not that anyone needs to stop him because he's basically doing everything for his team, so eventually he's going to run out of whatever it is that he's running on. the Magic pretty much proved that there isn't a player on there team that they don't need, and the Cavs proved something like the opposite. and i think, as far as beating the Lakers, the Magic will be able to do it.
I was pulling for the Nuggets so hard (so much that i don't even care how bad that sentence sounds). but i really thought that it was time for them. i mean, there were a few games and things that happened that i was like, mannnnnn you're not going to beat them that way. unless JR Smith was Smitty, he was just hurling up shots from three point land. Carmello Anthony is a good dude, and after a season of hating Birdman, i was into him in this series. but as most people predicted, the Lakers won. but i'm pretty sure that they lost to the magic when they played them in the regular season. Dwight Howard is too big and too fast not only for Pau Gasol, but certainly for Andrew Bynam. i don't know who the Lakers think is going to guard Turkalo. and Pietrus did a tight job on LeBron James, so Kobe Bryant won't be too much trouble.
Things to watch for in the Finals (especially if you don't even care about basketball, but are forced to watch these games for one reason or another):
-Stan Van Gundy's Huddles
-the amount of times that Kobe Bryant gets pissed off about a call
-whether or not Rafer Alston is going to kiss a ref in the head
-Dwight Howard's pre-introduction garbage ball tossing
-what kind of out-of-place celebs are at the Lakers home games
-how weird looking the Lakers guards are
so, Charles Barkley was the only one to say it, but i'm going to agree with him: Magic in 7.
